Brenda Lind is our legal secretary. She has worked in the area of family law since 2008. She has lived in Vacaville, California for 35+ years and started a career in retail management. It was here that she learned that she enjoyed working with a diverse group of people that gave her the insight on how to assist those she later would come into contact with in the family law field. She enjoys interacting with people from all walks of life, does her utmost to treat everyone with respect, does not personalize when another relays negativity and strives to never judge another. Brenda has attended Solano Community College and studied in the area of human services and believes that her life experiences have greatly lead her to be able to help others when they walk through the door. In her words, “I love my job for the simple fact that I am paying it forward to others with compassion, dedication and with an amazing mentor.”
KelliAnn Rubalcaba is the legal assistant here at the Law Office of Tiffany L. Andrews, P.C.. In this position, she organizes client files, answers phones, greets clients, prepares pleading indexes and is an overall assistant to anything else that is needed in the office. Kelli enjoys her work and is always eager to learn more. KelliAnn is currently attending American River College maintaining a 4.0 and straight A’s while trying to obtain her paralegal degree. KelliAnn plans on eventually going to law school and obtaining her ASL interpreting degree so she can work with deaf people in the legal field. We describe her as “mature beyond her years.”
Karen Nielsen-Balch has been a Family Law paralegal since 2002. Before obtaining her certificate in Paralegal Studies at American River College, she worked for many years as an administrator at a private arts college after earning her Bachelor of Arts degree from San Diego State University. As a family law paralegal Karen enjoys the challenge of incorporating her organizational skills with her goal of providing a quality service to the clients during this often stressful time of their lives. In her spare time Karen has a passion for travel and enjoys the detail involved in planning trips for herself, family and friends. Karen takes every opportunity to visit with her adult daughter who lives on the East Coast, and feels a sense of pride and admiration in being a parent. Karen enjoys spending time with friends and family, and taking extended walks whenever possible, especially on weekends.
Valerie Tamulevich has been a certified paralegal for more than 17 years. Her experience includes personal injury, real estate and now family law. She is a tireless advocate for childrens’ rights in relation to Autism and special education. She is familiar with Individual Education Plans (otherwise, known as IEP’s), as well as, has participated in fundraisers to increase Autism awareness, as well as, raise money to fund research in the same. Valerie describes herself as a “Family Gal” who enjoys spending time with her husband and two young sons. Valerie is an outdoor enthusiast who loves sports and showing her sons the benefits of hiking, camping, swimming and ATV/dirt bike riding. Valerie earned her A.A. degree from MTI College’s ABA approved paralegal program and routinely participates in additional education training in the fields relative to her current position.
Benjamin Larsen is our paralegal at our Fairfield office. He is a lifelong California resident and has been living in Vacaville, California for 20 years. He graduated from the University of California Berkeley with a BA in Political Science in 2015. After college, he started working as a legal assistant in Vacaville earning his paralegal certification under California Business and Professions Code Section 6450, after which he took a brief nine month break in which he traveled to Madrid, Spain to teach English at a public high school. Benjamin’s interests include local politics and community organizing; he has worked in both federal and state level political campaigns as well as served as a congressional district office intern. He is passionate about giving back to the local community and engaging young people in the political process. He is determined to bring the spirit of community service to all aspects of his work in the legal field.
Lisa Beguin has been a certified paralegal for over 25 years, having obtained her paralegal certificate from Sawyer Business College, Santa Clara, CA. Lisa is a Northern California native, starting her career in the Bay Area in the Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate fields.
Upon moving to the Sacramento area in early 2000, she entered into the Family Law arena. She brings with her experience in all aspects of family law, juvenile dependency, and appeals. Her vast experience in dealing with all surrounding counties of the court systems and knowledge of the forms and requirements for filing are crucial in completing, expeditiously, one’s case. She has the skills to work side by side with the attorney and understanding of the complexities of the family law dynamics which are essential in providing compassionate and detailed care for each client. Lisa has been a California Notary Public for over 20 years.
In her spare time, she enjoys Sunday drives with her husband, hikes and long walks with her dog, Jagger and kayaking in all the great northern California waterways.
Ann is a leading human resources professional with extensive senior-level experience in consulting, corporate and entrepreneurial roles. Ann has been a human resources professional for over 20 years, having obtained her masters degree in Strategic Human Resources Management from Chapman University in Orange California. She began her HR career working with a national corporation out of Southern California. Upon returning to northern California in 2014, she continued her career while working as the Regional Director of HR and providing internal HR support and HR consulting to more than 200 small and mid sized organizations. Ann has a proven ability to strengthen the link between people and strategy, as well as manage, motivate and retain talent. Throughout her career, Ann has been an innovator who helped design the strategies, systems and procedures of several HR departments. Ann has always been passionate about child and family advocacy. She served as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) and was a licensed foster care resource family and defacto parent.
Alissa Brown has worked with our office as a family law file clerk since early 2018 to the present.
